Message from Mr. Blancahrd:
“We built Traditions Martial Arts on a simple belief: the most powerful thing you can do is invest in your own growth. My journey started in a garage and a backyard, fueled by a dream that refused to go out. If you tell yourself you can’t do something, you’ll never achieve that goal. But if you tell yourself you can do it, you can achieve anything. When you’re struggling, remember that greatness isn’t born overnight—it’s forged through countless hours of sweat and determination. Whenever you want to quit, just add the one word: yet. Saying ‘I can’t do it yet‘ is what gives you the power to take the next step.”

My journey in martial arts began at thirteen, fueled by a relentless drive that saw me practicing Tang Soo Do in my garage, my backyard, and even my kitchen. Even as a young student, I was gripped by a dream of one day leading a studio where I could help others push past their limits. Though my path was interrupted when my original school closed, that fire never went out. For years, I trained alone, holding onto my rank and my passion until I finally found my home at Traditions Martial Arts.
After achieving my Black Belt under Master Lewis, that childhood dream found its light again. When the opportunity arose to take the reins of Traditions Martial Arts, I knew it was the culmination of a lifetime of dedication. I didn’t just step into a school; I stepped into a legacy. Today, I am proud to lead this Dojang, working alongside high-ranking instructors who share my commitment to excellence. My role is to ensure that the standards of Traditions remain world-class while fostering a culture where every student—regardless of where they start—can reach their full potential.
To me, there is nothing better than watching a student achieve a dream they once thought was impossible. I believe that true personal growth only happens when you are willing to push yourself, and I have dedicated my life to providing the environment for you to do exactly that. Whether you are aiming for your first yellow belt or your master rank, I am here to guide the way. I want you to achieve your dreams, and I am honored to help you get there.
